Paintings' Captions
In the caption under the enlargement of each of my watercolors, I
state the price, size, and watercolor paper used.
Unless stated otherwise in the captions, paintings are framed.
Watercolor Paper
I use 140# Rough, 140# Cold Press or #300 Rough watercolor paper. 140# paper is very
popular with watercolorist.
It's got some substance to it, can be stretched so it doesn't buckle when wet, and dries quickly.
300# paper is very stiff
and doesn't require stretching when wet. However, 300# paper takes longer to dry.
Cold press paper has a slightly bumpy texture that allows paint to settle into its pockets or sit on top and skip over the pockets, enabling various painting technique options. Rough paper has an even bumpier texture than cold press, enhancing rough texture techniques. Frames
Unless stated otherwise in the paintings' captions, paintings are framed. I use standard metal gallery
frames with plexiglass.
The frames are in colors complimentary to the paintings.
Once you own a framed painting, if the frame doesn't suit your taste, it's easy for you to have the painting reframed. Painting Size
The size given in the captions are the outside dimensions of the frames or the outside dimensions of the mats on unframed paintings.
Width is given first, then height. Hence 18in. x 13in. is a outside width of 18 inches and an outside height of 13 inches.
Price / Payment / Shipping
The price of a painting includes its frame or the mat if the painting is unframed. The price does not include shipping.
Framed paintings are shipped in their frames.
When finalizing a purchase, we can discuss a shipping and payment method that's convenient for both of us. |
